The Meth Project

The Meth Project is a national nonprofit that aims to prevent and reduce meth use through education, ad campaigns, community outreach, and public policy. They had successful TV spots running, but it was time to bring the campaign online.

I was a part of a team that created a digital experience that answered common questions about the drug in interactive—almost game-like—ways. Techniques included personal accounts with audio from real users, interactive games, and a ton of videos. Visit the site at methproject.org.

The digital experience was so successful that they asked us to develop TV spots for the campaign. My scripts weren't ultimately chosen, but they influenced the spots that were produced. (They did get close enough that I went over ideas with directors like Debra Granik and Darren Aronofsky, which was pretty exciting for a then-super-newbie.)
